New Horizons

New Horizons is one of The Orchard Centre's newest and most exciting events. With five different elements it brings together a wide selection of activity types. From 'The Factory' experience to 'Gone Fishing' there won't be a dull moment or a dry eye during this programme.

THE FACTORY
Experience the thrill and buzz of this unique facility where real teamwork, delegation and project management are brought to the fore. With its very own engine room, production line, labelling section, quality control and export packaging area your team will be tested to manage an efficient and co-ordinated process. This event lends itself to customising the task towards a particular product or process.

LINKS
The team's task is to use a section of pipe provided to each team member to move a number of balls from the starting position to a container at the end. The pipes provided are different in length and width and the team has to co-ordinate its actions to move as many balls as possible in the time allocated. This event has great pace to it and really develops the team spirit in an energising environment.

SNAKE PIT
A container holding radioactive material must be removed from an area infested by a most dangerous species of snakes. The team must complete their task without entering the infested area. Has your team got the nerve and focus to successfully carry out their objective? Only a 'total' team effort will see you safely through. This event is about team survival and provides unique problem solving opportunities in a real live environment.

CIRCUS ACT
The team has been asked to participate in a novelty act at the local circus. This is the team’s opportunity to prove that not only are they a force to be reckoned with but they can be a class act as well. Team members must arrange themselves on a specially commissioned see-saw. So, roll up for this great fun event and see if your team can get the balance right this time!

GONE FISH’IN
A recent environmental accident has threatened the rare species of fish that inhabit the lake in front of you. Your team is challenged to save as many of these rare creatures as possible in the time available. This is not your average fishing outing and even though normal fishing skills are a help this event has a few unusual twists! A highly entertaining event it is also every team members opportunity to become a hero.
